I remember watching this part of the movie and feeling my heart is torn into tiny little pieces. I cried so much for Eponine, I really feel for her. The pain of where someone's happiness is killing yours but at the same time means everything in the whole wide world to you. I feel every breath of this song. Loving someone, but only on my own..

There is no greater pain than falling in love with someone you can never have. It’s like starting out with a broken heart that just continues to fragment into smaller pieces.

And you tell yourself.. I will take friendship if that’s all I could ever have, but we know deep down friendship is unbearable.

So having a broken heart isn’t all that bad because at least you have loved and lost. It’s far worse when you never have the opportunity to give and receive that love.

Unrequited love.. just hurts..
